Sirac Can House

The villa project, co-designed with architect İbrahim Halil Yel, is located in plot 305, parcel 07, in the Düzlerçamı area of the Konyaaltı district in Antalya, which has recently experienced intensive development, typically consisting of villas with pools. The structure, comprising three floors, was designed according to the client’s requirements and the slope of the land. It includes two living rooms, a kitchen, five bedrooms, five bathrooms, one WC, a laundry room, and a storage room. The site naturally slopes toward the valley, offering views of the pine forest below. In designing the building, it was oriented to face the view, with the land divided into three distinct levels to accommodate the steep slope and client specifications. The entrance to the structure was designed on the highest level where the road access is located. The building’s foundation was set between this upper level and the lowest level, which also forms the lower garden area, creating tiered levels for diverse functional spaces at each level. The main spaces of the building are directed toward the valley to maximize the scenic views, while areas that don’t require large windows were placed on the road-facing side to maintain privacy. Based on discussions and critiques, the architectural plans and façade design of the building were finalized. Additionally, I created models and visualizations to make clear design decisions and present the project to the client.
