Antalya Archaeological Museum

The Antalya Regional Archaeology Museum Project focuses on redesigning the existing Antalya Museum site in harmony with its surroundings. As a result of the analyses and studies conducted within the project scope, the goal was to establish a strong relationship between the museum building and its context. The new archaeology museum is positioned in the northwest of the site to create a structure that is perceptible within the urban landscape. The vehicular road on the southern side has been pedestrianized to connect the museum with nearby recreational areas. Additionally, the southern section has been designed as a symbolic landmark within the city, featuring cafés to foster a social interaction area. The landscaping efforts aim to enhance the orientation toward the museum building. By utilizing the site’s elevation differences, the upper level has been designated for public use, while the lower level is reserved for museum visitors. Furthermore, the integration of the buildings into the site ensures continuity in pedestrian circulation.
